This Military Test Range Monitor position is engaged as an independent contractor (1099) supporting Cognitive Performance Group's Advanced Technologies and Emerging Capabilities (ATEC) team. The contractor provides services on an as-needed basis, as dictated by project requirements, and is not considered an employee.
In this role, the contractor provides data collection and data-collection-integrity support to the ATEC team during research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) field events. This role requires travel up to three consecutive weeks at a time. Travel may occur monthly but could occur less frequently as necessary for the program. Each event is a discrete engagement. Contractors may accept or decline individual event assignments based on availability, and no minimum number of engagements is guaranteed.

Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
All efforts will be made by the PM to communicate future travel dates and needs as soon as possible through email, though occasionally travel may be short notice (for example, two weeks prior). The contractor is expected to reply with availability within one business day.
Pre-travel virtual training briefings occur approximately one week before travel and may require availability up to 40 billable hours. RDT&E events consist of extended hours (12-14 hours) for multiple days in outdoor field conditions subject to weather. Overnight range operations are possible. The work requires long hours standing and walking.
Post-travel lessons-learned meetings occur within one week following travel and may require availability up to 16 billable hours. Any deadlines or availability expectations are agreed upon in advance and outlined per engagement.
