Randy Weatherspoon

Randy K. Weatherspoon is a human factors and industrial‑organizational psychology researcher with extensive experience spanning human systems integration, user interface and user experience design, and applied cognitive assessment. He specializes in human factors engineering, graphic user interface design, user experience enhancement, spatial orientation design, and psychology‑based research supporting complex systems. At CPG, Mr. Weatherspoon serves as a Scientist, contributing applied research and design expertise to projects focused on improving human performance and decision support.  

Mr. Weatherspoon’s research has contributed to increased employee productivity and the development of objective quality evidence used to inform senior government decision makers. Prior to joining CPG, he spent more than 13 years teaching across U.S. Navy, government contracting, and graduate‑level academic environments and is a Navy veteran with domain expertise in Electronic Warfare, Information Warfare, Ballistic Missile Defense, and Aegis Advanced Warfare Training simulations. Mr. Weatherspoon holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Technology Management and a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is currently pursuing both a Master of Philosophy and a Doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
