Michael Williams

Michael Williams is a retired U.S. Army Information Operations officer and senior military analyst with extensive experience in operational and strategic information operations. He specializes in information operations, strategic communication, and the integration of IO capabilities at tactical, theater, and joint levels. At CPG, Mr. Williams serves as a Senior Military Analyst, providing operational insight and advisory expertise grounded in decades of military and defense experience.  

Mr. Williams led deployments of IO teams to the Balkans and Afghanistan and he developed, trained, and deployed IO teams supporting operations in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Haiti. He concluded his military career while assigned to the Joint Staff J‑39. Following his retirement from the Army, he served as an advisor and consultant to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, contributing to department‑wide information operations and strategic communication policy, programs, and budgeting. He continues to consult on military issues while also operating a real estate brokerage and construction firm with his spouse. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance from the University of Alabama, a Master of Business Administration from Hood College, and is a graduate from U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
